Was a man living young and fast
Fast cars, fast women
Tastes he could not resist
His wife and kids slept alone
While he bet their inheritance
On a mission – left his convictions
To do what pleased him best
When he got home
They'd left him alone
He said
I've destroyed everyone I care about
I never understood what life was all about
I lied to myself till
I became what I hated
Crying out in the rain
Was a bright young starlet
Adored – fame and fortune
But with the devil she danced the best |
What was expected she rejected
Turned to cocaine and bitterness
That smith and wesson go her arrested
Her kids went to her exhusband
When she got home
Desperate and alone
She said
I've destroyed everyone I care about
I never understood what life was all about
I lied to myself till
I became what I hated
Deceived and lied
'Till my will was broken
Deniyed the blame
'Till the truth caught up to me
Lived like a king
Gold chains, gold trophies
Had everything
Now I'm left with nothing
I was playing, I was playing
I was playing, I was playing
